The Lake City Timberwolves held off a frenetic Coeur d'Alene rally for a 52-50 win in the 5A Region I boys basketball championship game Tuesday at CdA. Kyle Guice led LC (17-5) with 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. Tony Naccarato led CdA (17-4) with 13 points and nine rebounds. LC advances to state, which begins March 6 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. CdA plays host to Post Falls (14-8) in a game Saturday to decide a second berth to state. Tipoff is at 3.

Coeur d'Alene 76, Lewiston 52

Coeur d'Alene will play for the district championship with a 76-52 win over Lewiston. The Vikings were led by Tony Naccarato with a double-double scoring 15 points and adding 10 rebounds. Jaden Kauffman led the Bengals with 29 points. CDA will host the district championship against Lake City and Lewiston will play in a loser-out game against Post Falls. Both Games will take place on Wednesday night.
