Jordyn Soliday threw eight strikeouts, Rachael Stanfill had four RBIs and Glori Cheevers and Alex Steinmetz had two RBIs apiece to lead Medical to a strong 10-0 victory over Newport in a loser-out game. With the win, Medical Lake goes to the tournament at Lakeside to determine who advances to bi-districts. They will play Riverside at 11am on Saturday.

The Eagles continued their dominance in Northeast A league play with a 14-1 win over the Grizzlies. Madi Naccarato hit a three-run homer in the first inning and the Grizzlies could not keep up, scoring only in the final fifth inning.
