What happened: Cate Caporicci scored twice as host St. George's (14-3) secured a spot in the State 2B/1B quarterfinals with a 5-1 win that eliminated Northwest Christian (9-8-1). Turning point: The Dragons struck quickly, at 8 minutes, as Lydia Bergquist fed Maddy Christiansen.
