Bri Baldree earned 8 strikeouts and was 2 for 3 from the plate to lead Sandpoint past Blackfoot 5-4 in the first round of the Idaho State 4A playoffs on Friday at Post Falls HS. Sandpoint used a four-run comeback in the fifth and sixth innings after falling behind 4-1 after the fourth inning.

What happened: Bri Baldree earned her second win of the day and went 2 for 2 at the plate and the Bulldogs advanced to the Idaho State 4A semifinals with an 8-5 win over Bishop Kelly at Post Falls HS. Brianna Barlow went 2 for 5 with a double and three RBIs. Sandpoint faces Ridgevue on Saturday at 10 a.m., with the winner playing at 2 for the title.
