In a back and forth match, Lakeside outlasted Wallace in five sets 25-16, 19-25, 25-18, 13-25, 22-20 at Timberlake High School. This was the first match in a best of three series to determine the 1A District I winner. The two teams will play again at Timberlake High School on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in what will be an elimination game for Wallace.

In nonleague volleyball, Clark Fork defeated visiting Wallace, 25-13, 25-16, 23-25, 25-10. The Wampus Cats were led by Lyndsey Ciebert with 20 kills, and Annie Wrum, who recorded 34 assists, and four aces. Autumn Wagner also contributed two blocks and nine kills in the win.
