South Carolina’s leading scorer Chris Silva opts for NBA draft

South Carolina’s top scorer and rebounder Chris Silva has decided to enter the NBA draft. Silva plans to go through the draft camp process, but won’t hire an agent. By not hiring an agent, Silva could return to the Gamecocks for his senior season. South Carolina coach Frank Martin says Silva’s work the past three years gives him the chance to see how he stacks up in the draft process. The 6-foot-9 Silva averaged 14 points and eight rebounds last season

Staley: South Carolina’s Kaela Davis, Allisha Gray to enter WNBA draft

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley says Kaela Davis and Allisha Gray have decided to enter the WNBA draft. Staley said they felt it was the right time to follow their dreams. The two stars could still change their mind and go back to school for their final seasons. The league allows players up to five days before the April 13 draft to rescind their decision if they haven’t signed with an agent.
