Four-star QB Cammon Cooper commits to WSU

The pipeline from Utah to Washington State’s offensive backfield won’t end with Luke Falk. Four-star quarterback recruit Cammon Cooper announced on Sunday that he intends to play for the Cougars and continue the Beehive State’s presence in the Air Raid offense.

WSU basketball legend Bennie Seltzer returns as Cougars assistant coach

Washington State basketball legend Bennie Seltzer is returning to Pullman as an assistant coach, rounding out men’s head coach Ernie Kent’s staff. Seltzer, the school’s all-time assists leader, is now a 20-year coaching veteran and comes to Pullman from Loyola Chicago, where he was an assistant coach for the team that defeated the Cougars in the final game of the Paradise Jam on Nov. 21.

Gonzaga and BYU play for the WCC Championship on Saturday

At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night the Gonzaga Bulldogs and No. 18 BYU Cougars will play for the West Coast Conference baseball championship in Spokane’s Patterson Baseball Complex & Washington Trust Field. In order to defend its regular season title, GU (30-17, 19-7 WCC) needs to complete a three-game sweep over league-leading BYU (33-17, 20-6). The Zags entered this weekend in a tie for third-place with Loyola Marymount, but have almost caught up to the Cougars by beating them 10-2 and 10-4 at.
