Nicholas (Nico) Portuondo joined The Spokesman-Review as an intern reporter in 2021. He is a graduate of the Northwestern University Masters Journalism Program, where he was selected for the White House Correspondents Association Scholarship. He went to Duke for his undergraduate studies, and is a Miami native.
