Betsy Cowles Moves Up

Betsy Cowles has assumed top positions in several Cowles Publishing Co. subsidiaries, the company announced Monday.

Cowles is now chairwoman of KHQ-TV, president of Pinnacle Productions International, and president of the two companies that own River Park Square: Lincoln Investment Co. and Citizens Realty Co. She previously was named president of Western Farmer-Stockman Inc. and publisher of that company’s farm magazines.

Cowles also will continue as vice president and manager of new business development for New Media Ventures, another Cowles subsidiary.

Jim Cowles, president of Inland Empire Paper Co., is president of Cowles Publishing. Stacey Cowles, publisher of The Spokesman-Review, is vice president.
