COEUR D’ALENE

POLICE

Wayne Crook, Post Falls, reported Saturday that someone had pushed a shopping cart into both sides of his ‘49 Chevy sedan causing $600 in damage while it was parked at Rosauers.

A male Rottweiler dog named Roudy, valued at $500, was stolen from a construction site, Robert Fleming, the dog’s owner, reported Saturday.

Kristi Maughan reported Sunday that someone dented and scratched her ‘88 Chevy, causing $800 in damage, while it was parked at Third and Lakeside.

Benjamin Buroker reported Sunday that while he was parked at Tomato Brothers, 221 W. Appleway, Coeur d’Alene, someone broke the front passenger window out of his ‘74 Datsun and stole two speakers. Damage and theft is estimated at $500.

Gene McFarland reported Friday that his CD stereo was stolen from his car parked at Monte Vista Motel and R.V. Park, 320 Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive. The loss was estimated at $575.

Darin Hathaway reported Monday that someone broke into his ‘87 Chevy pickup while it was parked at his home in the 3200 block of Fairway, and stole his stereo and equipment valued at $1,480.

Gerri Walker, a cook for the Fort Ground Tavern, 705 River Ave., reported Thursday that eight $100 bills, intended for rent on an apartment, were stolen from her by a former friend.

POST FALLS

POLICE< Leah Franks reported Saturday the theft of her 1989 Toyota van while it was parked in the driveway of her home on the 200 block of Idaho Street. Police recovered the vehicle Monday, but a tool set and scuba knife were missing from it.

Laurence Nelson reported Sunday the theft of a lawnmower and snowblower, valued at $677, from his garage on the 3200 block of Ponderosa Boulevard.

Brandon Wallis reported Sunday the theft of $300 from his home on the 400 block of East 4th Street.

Kelley Hughes reported Sunday the theft of a pressure washer and a paint sprayer, valued at $3,700, from his truck while parked in front of his home on the 1700 block of Summer Rose Street.

KOOTENAI COUNTY

SHERIFF

Remi Weaver, Boise, reported Friday the

estimated $25,000 theft of furniture, guns, and tools that had been stored in the 1900 block of Hudlow Road, Hayden.

Renee McGlocklin, Post Falls, reported Saturday that an antique table valued at $500 was stolen from a storage unit at McGuire Storage, 2225 W. Stone, Post Falls.

Deanne Loosmore reported July 26 that someone had shot a hole in a GTE substation causing $2,592 in damage to a door and control box. The substation is located at 2115 Government Way, Coeur d’Alene.

Philip Water reported Friday that his ‘85 Subaru station wagon was broken into while parked at his home in the 1500 block of Velutra, Post Falls. His wallet that contained five hundred-dollar bills and credit cards along with other miscellaneous items were stolen, for a loss of $620.

Manuel Cortez, Dalton, reported Friday that tools he had loaned out June 29 were never returned, and some turned up in a pawn shop. Estimated value of the items is $403.

Charyln Alexander, a clerk for the LDS Church, 2150 16th St., reported Friday that a computer, printer, monitor, telephone, and amplifier valued at $2,545 were stolen. Damage to the church door and file cabinet is estimated at $600.

Rod Hicks reported Saturday that his boat motor was stolen from the 7300 block of Government Way. The motor is estimated to be worth $2,000.
