Doris Neuhauser Spokane

Memorial graveside service for Doris J. Neuhauser, 61, is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mrs. Neuhauser, who was born in Dairyland, Wis., died Tuesday.

She worked as a seamstress for K & L Manufacturing from 1969 until 1982.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Neuhauser, at home; two daughters, Rhonda Goodrich of Fairchild Air Force Base and Connie Rachul of Lethbridge, Alberta; one son, John Neuhauser; one sister, Esther White of Dairyland; two brothers, Andrew Pietz of Virginia, Minn., and Ronald Pietz of Clear Lake, Wisc.; and five grandchildren.

Florence Drake Coeur d’Alene

Service for Florence E. Drake, 91, is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene with English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Drake, who died Tuesday at Sunset Terrace in Coeur d’Alene, was born in Laurel, Mont.

She moved to Wallace in 1932 and also lived in Kellogg. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1941 and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Brack Supply Co. for more than 40 years.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Queen Esther Chapter No. 12, Soroptimists of Coeur d’Alene and St. Luke’s Guild.

Her husband, Ross Drake, died in 1966. She is survived by one son, Bill Drake of Coeur d’Alene; and two grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Altar Guild in care of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Evelyn Johnson Spokane

Service for Evelyn T. Johnson, 80, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Private burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Tilney, Saskatchewan, died Saturday.

She moved to Spokane in 1919. After graduating from Rogers High School and Cheney Normal School, she taught high school in Cheney.

She was a member of the Eagles, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the Messiah Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one brother, Gordon Olson of Spokane; and one sister, Ruth Borck of Selah, Wash.

Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, or Messiah Lutheran Church.

Hilda Everson Spokane

Funeral Mass for Hilda M. Everson, 66, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Chapel.

Mrs. Everson died Sunday in Cashmere, Wash. She was born in Mobridge, S.D.

She lived in Spokane from 1960 until 1992 and spent the past two years in Wenatchee. She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Tom Everson, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two brothers and four sisters; one son, Joe Everson of Spokane; one daughter, Patsy Everson of Wenatchee; her companion, Dale Williams of Omak, Wash.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Carl Fones Spokane

Private cremation will be held for Carl S. Fones, 89. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Fones, a 54-year Spokane resident, died Aug. 2. He was born in Rochester, Minn.

He worked as a millwright for Western Pine Lumber Company and retired in the mid 1960s.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 2.

His wife, Mary Fones, died in 1985. His survivors include one sister, Lucille Jenkins of Fullerton, Calif.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children.

Raymond Anderson Spokane

Graveside service for Raymond C. Anderson, 34, is planned for 10 a.m. today at Springdale (Wash.) Cemetery. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Anderson died Sunday from head injuries he suffered Saturday when his motorcycle collided with a car.

He was born in Tacoma and attended Mary Walker High School in Springdale. He was a fence builder and worked most recently for the Fence Man in Spokane.

He is survived by his parents, Dan and Ida Edmonds of Valley, Wash.; his wife, Michelle, at home; three daughters, Jessica and Katy Anderson, both at home, and Lisa Smith of Spokane; three brothers, Donald Benton of Auburn, Wash., Dan Edmonds, Jr. of Mead and Kenneth Edmonds of Cashmere, Wash; four sisters, Tracy Edmonds of Mead, Connie Sweet and Judy Edmonds of Spokane, and Sherry Stangl of Peoria, Ariz.; and his grandmothers, Mae Blatt of Springdale and Harriet Shaw of Chewelah.

Iris Peters Post Falls

Memorial service for Iris Idel Peters, 83, is planned for 3 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene.

Mrs. Peters died Sunday at Pinewood Care Center in Coeur d’Alene. She was born in Sandpoint and graduated from high school there.

She moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in the early 1930s and owned the IGA store. In 1956 she moved to Coeur d’Alene and in 1976 moved to Post Falls with her husband.

She was a member of First Christian Church and the Naomi Rebekah Lodge No. 16.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Al Peters, at home; one son, John Moore of Spokane; three daughters, Veryl Lindsey of Bonners Ferry, Lynne Johnson of Post Falls and Viki Vaughn of Portland; two brothers, Ancel Goolsbey of Spokane and Lewis Goolsbey of Walla Walla; three sisters, Amber Smith of Kennewick, Lillian Thompson of Portland and Eunice Mardesich of Seattle; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Memorial Fund in Coeur d’Alene.

Vera Sampson Spokane

Service for Vera E. Sampson, an 86-year Spokane resident, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sampson, 94, died Monday. She was born in Starbuck, Wash.

She graduated from North Central High School and worked at Whitehouse Department Store and Early Dawn Dairy as a bookkeeper.

She worked on the election board and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Jason Lee Circle.

Her husband, Carl Sampson, died in 1980. She is survived by two sons, John Sampson of Palo Alto, Calif., and Donald Sampson of Missoula; one brother, Waldo Babbitt of Spokane; seven grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
