Get A Hunch, Bet A Bunch

Usually, when you think about handicapping around the track conditions, the weather is wet. However, track bias can be an issue rain or shine, any day or night. More often than not, during the long spell of high temperatures, the five-furlong Playfair oval has sustained speed. On Wednesday night, however, most of the wins went to horses who can finish, and the trend was apparent after the first few races.

When confronted with track bias, go with the flow. Otherwise, like Wednesday’s selections, you’ll be betting speed while your stretch-running second and third choices come rolling home.
