The final Festival at Sandpoint concert of the season - the Neville Brothers on Sept. 5 - has been moved to Memorial Field, the main concert venue.
The concert was scheduled at The Ranch, a site 15 miles south of Sandpoint on Highway 95. Festival organizers said after assessing possible fire hazards and the longrange weather forecasts, the decision was made to move the concert.
“Safety and the comfort of our audience are always our primary concerns. Although The Ranch is a good concert location, this summer’s unusually dry, hot weather convinced us that Memorial Field would be a more desirable site for the September concert,” said Connie Berghan, executive director of the festival.
Concert time is still 6 p.m. “Go Fish” benefit
