Laura Willford Keller, Wash.

Service for Laura Mae Willford, 82, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Wilbur Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Wilbur Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Wilbur is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Willford died Thursday at Coulee Community Hospital in Grand Coulee, Wash. She was born in Keller.

She was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Keller Community Church.

Her husband John Willford, preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Ron Willford; one sister, Orie Willford, both of Keller; two grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.

Levi Leonson Spokane

Service for Levi Leonson, 97, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Sunset Mausoleum at Fairmount Memorial Park. Burial will follow. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Leonson, who died Thursday, was born in Sweden.

He worked at Kaiser Aluminum in Trentwood in the shipping department and lived in Spokane for 58 years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene Leonson, at home.

Linda Cooper Spokane

Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. today for Linda M. Cooper, 52, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Vigil service was held Sunday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cooper, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday.

She lived in Lead, S.D., where she was a teacher and librarian. She returned to Spokane eight years ago and worked for Our Lady of Fatima Parish as the Director of Religious Education, and most recently, as the Associate Director of Parish Services Office for the Catholic Diocese of Spokane.

She was a member of St. Augustine Parish and the Crones and Scones.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gary Cooper, at home; two sons, Scott Cooper of Seattle, and Noah Cooper of Spokane; her mother, Eleanor Baruffi of Spokane; one brother, Jerry Baruffi of Seattle.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Habitat for Humanity.

Evelyn Donohoe Spokane

Service is planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North for Evelyn R. Donohoe. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Donohoe, 95, died Wednesday in Foley, Ala., where she had lived for the last six months. She was born in St. Jacob, Ill.

She moved to Spokane, from Richland, in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church and the International Order of Foresters.

Her husband, Raymond Donohoe, died in 1962. She is survived by one daughter, Frances White of Spokane; one son, Robert Donohoe of Foley; eight grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren, and one great-greatgrandson.

Ben Newton Coeur d’Alene

Service for Ben L. Newton, 75, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Newton died Thursday. He was born in Butte, Mont.

He graduated from Kellogg High School. He served in the Marines during World War II. He returned to Kellogg and began working as a carpenter. He and his wife moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1959 and he retired in 1981.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local No. 1691 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 889.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor Newton, at home; two sons, Dennis Newton of Keizer, Ore., and Lance Newton of Coeur d’Alene; one daughter, Marilyn R. Steinwandel of Portland; two sisters, Viola Meyers of Kellogg, and Leona McGregor of St. Maries, and five grandchildren.

Jeffrey Harshbarger Spokane

Memorial service for Jeffrey Wayne Harshbarger, 38, was held in California.

Mr. Harshbarger, a former Spokane resident, died August 3 from AIDS related causes in Laguna Niguel, Calif. He was born in Spokane.

He graduated from Ferris High School and attended Eastern Washington University. In the mid1970s, he worked for American Sign and Indicator. For the last 12 years he worked for Anthem Electronics in California.

He is survived by his parents, Dale and Martha Harshbarger; one brother, Dean Harshbarger; one sister; Kathryn Guarisco, all of Spokane; and his long time friend, Joel Herzer of California. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane AIDS Association.

Marion Brady

Spokane

Prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church for Marion Brady.

Mrs. Brady, a lifetime Spokane resident, died July 26. She was 91. She graduated from Whitworth College.

She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Almquist of Detroit.
