‘Improvement’ Tops Ratings

ABC’s “Home Improvement” was the No. 1 primetime television program last week, according to Nielsen numbers released Tuesday.

ABC was the top-rated network for the week with an average weekly rating/share of 9.5/18. CBS was second, NBC third and Fox fourth.

Here are the top 10 primetime programs for the week of Aug. 8-14.

1. “Home Improvement” (rerun) ABC 17.4/30

2. “Grace Under Fire” (rerun) ABC 16.2/27

3. “Seinfeld” (rerun) NBC 16.1/27

4. “Frasier” (rerun) NBC 15.8/26

5. “60 Minutes” (rerun) CBS 14.0/30

5. “Roseanne” (rerun) ABC 14.0/24

7. “Murder, She Wrote” (rerun) CBS 13.2/24

8. “Ellen” ABC 12.5/21

9. “20/20” ABC 11.8/22

9. “Wings” (rerun) NBC 11.8/21
