Headley Set To Replace Williams
Longtime North Idaho College men’s basketball coach and athletic director Rolly Williams will drop one of his titles come July.
Williams will turn over the A.D. job to Jim Headley on July 1. Headley has served as assistant A.D.
Williams will assume additional teaching responsibilities and assist with the development of the college’s new Alumni Association.
NIC board trustees must confirm Headley’s appointment at their April meeting. The position of assistant A.D. will not be filled.
Head of the class
When it came to the classroom, the NIC men’s cross country team stood out last fall.
The men’s team ranked fifth in the 1994 National Junior College Athletic Association Cross Country Academic All-American team standings. The Cardinal men had a combined grade-point average of 3.368. Team rankings are determined by using fall semester grades for each team’s top seven finishers at the regional meet.
Herkimer County (N.Y.) Community College ranked first with a combined GPA of 3.849. NIC’s Brian Hadley, of Sandpoint, received special recognition for his 4.0 GPA.
