Sanders Swimming Back

Summer Sanders, who won more medals than any other American swimmer at the 1992 Summer Olympics, is returning to competition in the hope of earning a spot on the 1996 U.S. Olympic team.

Sanders, who won two gold medals, a silver and a bronze at Barcelona, had announced her retirement from competitive swimming in January 1994.

Since competing at Barcelona, Sanders has completed her education at Stanford, worked as a commentator for CBS Sports and co-hosted a beach-sports show for MTV.
