Johan Kriek and Jimmy Connors advanced to today’s final of the $150,000 Corel Champions men’s over-35 tournament.

Kriek moved on when No. 2 Bjorn Borg retired after two sets of their semifinal with a sore right shoulder.

In the late match, top-seeded Jimmy Connors used blistering service returns to oust John Lloyd 6-1, 6-2.
