Ski Sock Keeps Feet Toasty For Hours
Product: Feet Heat Ski Sock.
Description: Knee-high ski socks made of a blend of 70 percent wool and 30 percent nylon with a built-in pocket on top of the toes which holds a warmer pack. Socks come packaged with one set of Feet Heat Footwarmers.
Pro: Using the Feet Heat Footwarmer packets, up to eight hours of external heat is provided to the toe region of your foot. By taking the Footwarmer packets and placing them in your boots approximately 30 minutes prior to strapping them on, you will prewarm your boots, helping you keep your feet that much warmer from the outset. Toe pocket in the sock holds the Footwarmer packets securely in place, a major improvement from other designs which utilize adhesive strips on the back of footwarmer packets to attempt to position the packets correctly.
Con: Your boots or other footwear had better be constructed with a generous toe-box, otherwise your toes will feel a little cramped in these socks with the warmer in place. In boots with a fair amount of flex in the forefoot, the warmer packet may be pressed uncomfortably into the top of the foot as the vamp, or top of the shoe creases -especially noticed during uphill climbing. Feet Heat Footwarmer packets are non-reusable. Although they are made of allnatural ingredients, once they are used up, they become disposable waste.
Comments: This is a great sock for people who suffer from chronically cold toes, or for those sportspeople who spend a fair amount of their day standing around on snow or ice not generating any extra energy to warm the body or feet in cold environments. If you are a warm-blooded soul who is prone to peeling off layers outdoors rather than huddling indoors, you might find this system a tad toasty.
