Egg-Traordinary Traditions

Lynn Gibson Correspondent

Easter is this Sunday and families are enjoying the tradition of decorating eggs to celebrate spring and new life.

Get in the spirit with Dudley’s Egg Coloring and Decorating Kits, which offer a variety of egg dyeing techniques for all ages. The “Speckle Eggs” kit gives the look of sponge painting. “Spin An Egg” is great for the very young decorator, turning the egg into a work of art using a spinner machine. “Sparkle Eggs” creates brilliant designs of swirls and sparkles.

Dudley’s kits are available at mass merchandising stores such as Target, Kmart and Fred Meyer, ranging in price from $2-$5.

Purple Peeps

Kids have loved Peeps in white, yellow and pink for more than 40 years. Just Born Inc., makers of the confectionery treat, has introduced its newest color, lavender, in shapes of chicks and bunnies to brightly decorate your Easter basket.

Peeps are available in grocery, drug and discount stores throughout the Inland Northwest.
