A single-engine plane was reported missing in the Cascades Wednesday with one person aboard.
The Cessna 182, which belongs to the Civil Air Patrol, left the Auburn city airport about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, bound for Yakima and then Boise, Federal Aviation Administration duty officer Lee Fryer said.
An alert notice was issued when the plane failed to land at Yakima.
The name of the pilot was not disclosed.
The state Department of Transportation’s Aviation Division was coordinating a search.
