Indian Leaders Invited Back To White House

American Indian leaders are being invited back to the White House as a follow-up to last year’s historic meeting with President Clinton.

The meeting April 28 will be “very substantive” and less ceremonial than last year’s session, Bob Walker, a spokesman for the Interior Department, said Thursday.

The agenda has not been set.

About 250 tribes were represented in last year’s meeting.
