Dead Woman Had Sock Around Her Neck
A Spokane woman found dead in her bathtub last weekend had a white athletic sock tightly wrapped around her neck and her face and head were bloodied, police said.
The body of Linda Lewis, 48, was discovered at her East Central home by her two sons just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
She was naked, except for a skirt that was bunched around her waist, officials said. There was little water in the tub, suggesting the body was put there.
An autopsy was performed, but the results weren’t available late Monday.
Neighbors described Lewis as a tall, eccentric woman who liked to wear wigs and sit on her front porch on the 2000 block of East Hartson. Police said they have no motive or suspects.
