No Suspect In Store Killing

Pocatello police had no suspects in the weekend shooting death of a convenience store clerk.

The body of Carl Brett Gilbert, 19, was found by customers about 2:15 a.m. Saturday in a walk-in cooler at the Maverik Country Store.

Police Chief Lynn Harris said there were no signs of a struggle or a robbery.

Harris said Gilbert’s wound appeared to have been caused by a handgun, but he refused to provide additional details of the shooting.
