All-Star Rosters Released For June 3 Football Game
Forty-eight football players have been selected from District I high schools to play in the annual District I-II All-Star Game this summer.
District I represents schools in the five most northern counties. District II includes Lewiston, Moscow and more than a dozen A-3 and A-4 schools.
The annual game for graduating seniors will be played June 3 at Coeur d’Alene High School’s Viking Field.
Sandpoint had the most players selected on the District I team with nine. Lakeland and Post Falls are represented with seven each and six Coeur d’Alene players were selected.
The District I team could be one of the best ever. Headlining the offense is University of Idaho-bound quarterback Darick Pope of Post Falls and Lakeland running back Kole Clauson.
Greg Drake, who resigned last fall as head coach at Coeur d’Alene, will coach the team. He’s organized the all-star game the past five years.
