The brother of record-setting Stanford quarterback Steve Stenstrom, Jeff Stenstrom, 19, died Monday at Tompkins Community Hospital in Ithaca, N.Y., of meningococcal meningitis.

Jeff Stenstrom, an El Toro High (Calif.) graduate was a freshman at Cornell University in Ithaca and a linebacker on the school’s football team.

Steve Stenstrom, 23, was drafted in the fourth round of the National Football League by the Kansas City Chiefs.
