Joan Lovett-Fultz Hauser Lake, Idaho
Graveside service for Joan Arlene Lovett-Fultz, 61, will be today at 1 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lovett-Fultz, who was born in Wisconsin, died Tuesday at home.
She married Charles Fultz in 1953, and they later divorced.
She married Patrick Lovett, and he died in 1977. She then remarried Charles Fultz.
Mrs. Lovett-Fultz moved to Hauser Lake in 1969 from Spokane.
A homemaker, she previously had worked in Alaska in the food-service industry for Black Angus Restaurants.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Coeur d’Alene.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved the lake, going to garage sales and visiting Alaska each summer.
Survivors include her husband, at home; three sons, Dana and Lonnie Fultz, both of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Mark Fultz of Hauser Lake, Idaho; two daughters, Kathy Coleman of Spokane and Page Goins of Prineville, Ore.; two brothers, Duane Syth of Sandpoint and Michael Holterman of Central America; and four sisters, Donna Behmerwould of Sandpoint, Janice Calvert of Kootenai, Idaho, Patsy Gilligan of Wisconsin and Sheila Olmstead of the Tri-Cities.
Robert Keyser Tucson, Ariz.
Graveside memorial service for Robert E. Keyser, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. August 11 at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Keyser, who was born in Cashmere, Wash., died July 18 in Tucson.
He moved to Arizona last year after living in Deer Park for 10 years.
He had been a major in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Keyser was preceded in death by his first wife, Laverne Keyser.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Keyser; three daughters, Sue Ann Frank, Kremmling, Colo., Bobbie Lou Street, Morrison, Colo., and Debbie Keyser, Denver; two sisters, Katherine Haugen, Elk and Rae Hudlow, Spokane; and three grandchildren.
Jack Pintler Otis Orchards
No service will be held for Jack F. Pintler, 72, at his request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pintler, who was born in Latah, Wash., died last Friday.
He had served in the merchant marine and was self-employed as a livestock buyer and truck driver.
Mr. Pintler had lived in Spokane for the past 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lorraine Pintler; two sons, Richard Pintler of Greenacres and Jerry Pintler of Spokane; and two grandsons.

Gay Brazington Buswell Troy, Idaho
Memorial service for Gay “Lynne” Brazington Buswell, 34, will be today at 4 p.m. at the Lutheran Church in Troy. Graveside service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Superior Cemetery in Superior, Mont. Short’s Funeral Chapel, Moscow, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Buswell, who was born in Spokane, died Saturday of cancer at her sister’s home in Troy.
She married William Buswell in 1980, and they divorced in 1993.
She loved spending time with her children, sewing, cooking and gardening. She also enjoyed playing at the beach, traveling, and singing and dancing.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Galen Brazington, and stepfather, Dale Torrence.
Survivors include her children, Rick and Julie, both of Deary, Idaho; her father and stepmother, Darrill and Juanita Brazington of Priest River, Idaho; her mother, Mary Torrence of Spokane; a brother, Mike Brazington, and a sister, Cindy Bogar, both of Troy; five stepbrothers, Mike and Jim Radan, both of Priest River, Idaho, and Warren, Rod, and Evan Torrence, all of Spokane; and two stepsisters, Anita Radan of Priest River and Nila Torrence of Spokane.

Dan McIntire Spokane
Graveside service for Dan McIntire, 48, will be today at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Terrace in Spokane. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McIntire, who was born in California, died Monday at home in Spokane.
He graduated from Chico High School in Chico, Calif., and served in the National Guard from 1967 to 1970.
Mr. McIntire married Linda McDaniel in 1968, and they moved to Sandpoint in 1973 and to Spokane in 1978.
He was a member of the Spokane Christian Center.
Mr. McIntire loved his family, home and religion.
Survivors include his wife, at home; a son, Corey McIntire, and daughter, Carrie McIntire, both of Spokane; two brothers, Richard McIntire of Spokane and Lester McIntire of Sagle, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dolores Wood Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Dolores V. Wood, 79, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Coeur d’Alene Bible Church. English Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wood, who was born in West Virginia, died Tuesday.
She was raised in Wellsville, Ohio, attended nursing school in Cleveland and worked as a registered nurse for four years before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1941.
She served as a nurse on three medical missionary trips and was a visiting nurse for two years at the Ogden Hall for homeless women and children in Spokane.
Mrs. Wood was a city councilwoman in Fernan, campaign manager for Congressman John T. Wood in the early 1950s, and a delegate to the National Republican Convention in Chicago in 1952.
She was active in the PTA, Cub Scouts, Blue Birds, Coeur d’Alene Swim Team Association and the Shriners organization.
Survivors include her husband, William Wood; one son, John Wood of Oregon; and two daughters, Jacqueline Duffy of California and Jennifer Lynn Ramey of Boise.
Memorials may be made to the medical library at Kootenai Medical Center or the missions ministries at Coeur d’Alene Bible Church.
Patricia Grounds Kellogg
A gathering of family and friends in remembrance of Patricia J. Grounds, 59, will take place at a later date. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grounds, who was born in Harrisburg, Penn., died Wednesday.
She had worked as a high school educator and had lived in Spokane for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Sherrill; two daughters, Libby Spangler and Alison Grounds, both of Spokane; two sons, Michael Grounds of Tempe, Ariz., and John Grounds of Walla Walla; her mother, Jean Nydegger of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; one sister, Mary Ellen Barker of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and two granddaughters.

George Dauenhauer Spokane
Memorial Service for George P. Dauenhauer, 70, will be at 11 a.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Dauenhauer, a 47-year resident of Spokane, died Tuesday.
He was born and raised in Mott, N.D. He moved to Spokane in 1948.
Mr. Dauenhauer had worked for Banks and Emerson oil companies as a fuel-truck driver. He also worked for US West for 19 years before retiring in 1991.
He had been a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Margaret Dauenhauer; two daughters, Cherri Massender of Spokane and Traci Tabor of Kennewick; one son, Brian Towles of Spokane; five brothers, Mike Dauenhauer of Opportunity, Frank and Tony Dauenhauer, both of Greenacres, Nick Dauenhauer of Sherwood, Ore., and Ervin Dauenhauer of Mountlake Terrace, Wash.; three sisters, Maggie Lantz of Mott, Margaret Johnston of Hopewell, Va., and Vi Ward of Greenacres; and four grandchildren.

Vigil for Dorothy Gaffney, 75, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gaffney, who was born in Holdenville, Okla., died Tuesday.
She had been a Spokane resident for 55 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and was the secretary and adviser for the Diocese Council of Catholic Youth for more than 20 years. She helped organize the parochial schools sports league.
Mrs. Gaffney was a recipient of the St. Anne Medal.
She also worked for the Home School Society.
She is survived by six daughters Dorothy Lee Collachi of Colorado Spring, Colo., Judy Roberg of Newport News, Va., Shirley Alexander of Bellevue, Wash., Pamela Johnson, Columbia Falls, Mont., Therese Gaffney of Spokane and Penny Howell, Sparks, Nev.; one son, Steven Gaffney of Lincoln City, Ore.; one brother, Sam Baugh Jr.; two sisters, Ruth Baker and Josephine Rexroad; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Boucher Spokane
Service for Dorothy M. Boucher, 75, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North.
Mrs. Boucher, who was born in Calgary, Alberta, died Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Care Center.
She was a resident of Spokane for 47 years.
Mrs. Boucher had volunteered as a counselor at the mental health center and worked for 14 years as a counselor for Spokane County Juvenile Court. She had also volunteered for the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Boucher; two sons, William and David Boucher, both of Spokane; one brother, H. E. Bebb of Parksville, British Columbia; two sisters, Iris Tinsley of Spokane and Pat Rogers of Calgary; and seven grandchildren.

Hattie Tiedt Cheney

Mrs. Tiedt, who was born in Wilson Creek, Wash., died Tuesday.
An area resident for 73 years, she was a homemaker.
She had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Rebekah Lodge, the Amber Grange, and the Cheney United Church of Christ.
Her husband, Elmer, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Tiedt of Sacramento, Calif., Joe Tiedt of Spokane and Orval Tiedt of Cheney; two sisters, Margaret Kupers and Helen Miles, both of Harrington, Wash.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Christina Leaf Newport, Wash.
Service for Christina Leaf, 70, is set for 2 p.m. today at the American Lutheran Church in Newport. Burial will follow at the Newport Cemetery. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in North Dakota, Mrs. Leaf died Tuesday of cancer.
She had been a Spokane resident for more than 30 years.
Her husband, Wilbur Leaf, died in 1993.
She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Newport and the Blanchard Grange.
Survivors include two brothers, John Wagner of Spokane and Dan Wagner of Turtle Lake, N.D.

Sybil Belcher Spokane

Mrs. Belcher, who died July 26 was born in Nelson, British Columbia.
She moved to Spokane 80 years ago.
She had served in the Army during World War II as a photo lab technician and worked in Japan as a civilian after the war. She later returned to Spokane.
Mrs. Belcher was a member of the Orchard Avenue Community Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Belcher of Mill Valley, Calif.; and two brothers, Bernard Ford of Nelson, British Columbia, and James Ford of Victoria, British Columbia.

Willie Dockett Sr. Spokane
Service for Willie L. Dockett Sr., 85, is set for 2 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South.
Mr. Dockett, who was born in Memphis, Tenn., died Saturday.
A 40-year resident of Spokane, he had worked as a nurse at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 20 years.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Dockett is survived by one son, Willie Dockett Jr. of Chicago; one sister, Alberta Davis of St. Louis; his companion, Minnie Miller of Spokane; and one grandson.

Mrs. McGuire, who was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, died Wednesday.
She had lived in Spokane for 48 years.
Mrs. McGurie had been active in PTA and Alpha Mu Chapter of Phi Sigma Alpha sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, C.O. “Mac” McGuire; her son, Bill McGuire of Moses Lake; a brother and two sisters in the Salt Lake City area, a sister in Pocatello, Idaho; and two granddaughters.
Leona ‘Punkie’ Pontius Spokane

Mrs. Pontius, who was born in Ponca City, Okla., died Monday.
A 20-year resident of Spokane, she worked for several years at Ticor Title and recently worked as a closer for a real estate firm.
She was a member of the Greenbluff Grange.
She is survived by her husband of nine years, David Pontius; her mother, Edna Dickson of Trout Creek, Mont.; and two sisters, Linda Pennington of Spokane and Shirley McLinden of Trout Creek.

Mrs. Johnson, who was born in Ford, Wash., died Wednesday.
A 45-year Spokane resident, she had been a homemaker.
She was a member of the Opportunity Grange and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon, in 1951.
She is survived by a daughter, Eva Burma of Spokane; two sisters, Stella Emerson and Alice Bond, both of Spokane; one brother, Harry Wollweber of Spokane; two grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Alexander McGillivary Spokane

He was born in Cloquete, Minn.
Mr. McGillivary, a 60-year Spokane resident, died Saturday.
He had worked as a taxi driver in Spokane.

Dorothy May Lewis Spokane
Graveside service for Dorothy May Lewis, 89, was Wednesday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Lewis died Saturday.
She was born in Fremont, Ohio.
She was a member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was also the head of the Red Cross in Lamont, Wash.
Her husband Herbert Lewis, died in 1969.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Rabe of Spokane; one son, William Lewis of Ephrata, Wash.; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.
