Angina and hypertension brochures
Two free, informative, easy-to-read brochures on angina and hypertension are available from Marion Merrell Dow Inc.
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, occurs when blood vessels narrow, forcing the heart to work harder.
Angina, a more serious disorder, occurs when the blood vessels around the heart become narrow or constricted, preventing proper levels of blood and oxygen from reaching the heart.
Both illnesses can lead to more serious diseases such as heart disease or stroke.
Call (800) 531-2100 for the brochures.
Ice Cream Social
Holy Family Hospital will celebrate its third annual community celebration with an Ice Cream Social at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the hospital’s main entrance.
