Her Love Was True-Blue, So Tune In At 11 For Details

She wore white, naturally. Anna Nicole Smith was, after all, in mourning.

But that was about the only thing that didn’t come straight out of a bad movie-of-the week script as Smith, 27, held a memorial service for her recently deceased husband, 90-year-old millionaire J. Howard Marshall.

One report had Smith wearing a low-cut, side-slit white gown and veil. Another said that the “Guess” and Playboy model “read from the Bible and sang ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ in a high-pitch whisper before starting to sob and darting into a side room.”

Can’t imagine it? Don’t worry. It was all covered by People magazine, whose correspondent was the only media member allowed to attend the post-service reception.

Marshall’s son, Pierce Marshall, is holding a separate service.

Loose talk

Daphne Zuniga of “Melrose Place” on finding true love (in People magazine): “I met this cute guy and I insulted him for a week straight until he asked me out. Cut to six months later, and I’m wearing his underwear.”

At one time, she was desperately seeking Susan

Rosanna Arquette turns 36 today.

Next up: She visits Carl’s World of Waterbeds in Burbank

Divine Brown, Hugh Grant’s lewd conduct partner, is now on the air. The alleged prostitute recorded a TV promo for the Los Angeles radio station that she says was playing during her “date” with Grant. “Easy 100.3 is the perfect radio station to listen to - while you work,” says the 23-year-old Brown, standing in front of the station’s call letters.

Next up: ‘Rocky VI,’ ‘Rambo IV’ and ‘Rhinestone II’

We’re still reeling from the report that Sylvester Stallone has signed a record $60 million, three-picture deal with Universal Pictures. Stallone was paid $15 million to do the forthcoming “Assassins” for Warner Bros. and will earn $17.5 for Universal’s “Daylight.”

After that, he needed a stiff one just to calm down

Michael Caine started it, stating in a June 23 interview that fellow Brit actors Peter O’Toole, Richard Harris and the late Richard Burton were alcoholics. In a written reply, Harris called Caine’s remark “a cheap shot by an actor I consider not in the same league as Burton or O’Toole or even myself. He is an over-fat, flatulent, 62-year-old windbag, a master of inconsequence now masquerading as a guru.”

Finally, a whole new generation of Trumps to lampoon

Two-year-old Tiffany Trump will star with her mom, Marla Maples, in a television commercial for Minolta’s Freedom Family Zoom camera. Previously, Maples did a 1990 ad for No Excuses jeans, and father Donald Trump did a Pizza Hut ad with ex-wife Ivana Trump.

Not that he would ever think about exploiting her name

Mark Harris, who was married to the late Martha Raye, is opening a nightclub that boasts ashtrays shaped like false teeth. “I know it sounds tasteless,” Harris said, “but Martha’s dentures were her trademark, and this is my way of immortalizing her.”
