Luck And Timing Make Woman Richer

From Staff And Wire Reports

Another tangle of luck and unusual circumstance has made a Kootenai County woman richer.

Nancyjane Teigen, of Post Falls, won $15,000 on an Idaho lottery ticket she bought after running out of gas and pushing her car to a convenience store. With her last $8 she bought $7 in gas and spent $1 on a lottery ticket.

“I just bought a mobile, so now I’ll be able to pay back some of the borrowed down payment, start an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) and maybe fix my car,” Teigen said.

The bank employee had wagered on the game “Fortune Teller.”

On Thursday, Teigen became the second resident in a week to win thousands of dollars in the Idaho lottery under unusual circumstances.

Wednesday, a lottery representative finally found a Post Falls resident who had won $8,000. The representative happened into a convenience store and noticed the woman’s time card behind the counter. She was behind him stocking shelves.
