Spokane’s Holt 7th In Tourney

Britney Holt of Spokane shot a 78 to finish at 237 for seventh place in the Ashworth/Golfweek Aviara Junior golf tournament Thursday in Carlsbad, Calif.

Jenna Daniels of Bonita, Calif., won with a three-round total of 221 over the 5,887-yard, par-72 Aviara Golf Club course.

Baseball

Two Cheney High School juniors, Bryan Miller and Tucker Urdahl, will be playing for Columbia Basin in the Babe Ruth World Series for 16-year-olds in Jamestown, N.Y., beginning Saturday.
