Novell Earnings Jump 33 Percent

Novell Inc. has reported third-quarter earnings of $102 million, or 27 cents per share, a 33 percent increase from the same time a year ago.

Adjusted earnings for 1994’s third quarter were $77 million, or 21 cents per share - although an $81 million charge related to the acquisition of WordPerfect Corp. resulted in an eventual loss of $4 million, or 1 cent per share.
