Train Derailment Sends Eight Cars Into River

A passenger train derailed early Friday and eight cars fell into a rain-swollen river, news reports said. At least one person was killed and dozens were injured, Korean television reported.

Yonhap Television News, reporting from the scene, said 110 people were injured and that eight of the 440 passengers were missing.

Heavy fog covered the area, making visibility poor.
