‘Bethlehem Revisited’ Opens At Fairgrounds
Shadle Park Presbyterian and Manito Presbyterian churches will join forces for the third year to present “Bethlehem Revisited” at the Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds today, Sunday and Monday.
It’s the 13th year the Shadle Park congregation has staged the walk-through dramatization of Bethlehem on the day Christ was born.
More than 60 characters and live animals will help visitors travel 2,000 years back in time to meet craftsmen, vendors, a Jewish rabbi, Roman soldiers and a census taker.
And, of course, Mary and Joseph will be there, on the outskirts of town, with their newborn baby lying in a manger.
The hours of “Bethlehem Revisited” are 1 to 4 p.m. today and Sunday and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Admission is free. However, donations of non-perishable food items for the Spokane Food Bank will be appreciated.
