Stockton’s Streak May End
Utah Jazz point guard John Stockton, who has missed just four games in his 11-season NBA career, will probably miss at least one game after spraining his ankle.
Jazz orthopedist Dr. Lyle Mason examined Stockton, who sprained his left ankle Thursday night in a loss against the Denver Nuggets, and found the sprain was “not real bad.”
Denver’s Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf scored most of his 51 points against Stockton Thursday night.
Stockton was listed as doubtful going into tonight’s game against Golden State.
If Stockton doesn’t start, it would end the league’s longest string of consecutive starts by an active player at 463 games.
