Boys basketball

Jeremy Landram of Chewelah totaled a game-high 19 points and the Cougars hung on for a 52-50 win on the road over Lakeside in Northeast A League action Saturday night.

Lakeside rallied from a 13-point deficit, but a pair of missed free throws with 2 seconds left in the game sealed its fate. Billy Bender’s 14 points paced the Eagles. Chris Boone added 12 points for the Cougars.
