Police Say Gunfight Gang, Drug Related

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane police believe a gun battle Wednesday in Browne’s Addition was caused by a conflict between gangs over drugs.

No one was injured in the shooting and four men have been arrested. Gunshots rang out in the 2000 block of West Riverside about 1:30 p.m. in an apparent dispute among drug dealers.

Initially, police suspected that a man had tried to shoot his girlfriend.

Arrested in connection with the incident were Arthur D. Davis, 18, a transient; Lamont A. Brooks, 18, 615 W. 29th; Brandon L. Pierce, 23, 1818 E. Fifth; and Kendrick O. Mason, 19, 2014 W. Riverside.
