DIXIE AT NORTH IDAHO

NIC (2-1 Scenic West, 11-1) tangles with No. 9-ranked Dixie (2-1, 14-1), which is probably steamed after losing on Thursday to Ricks 102-97, at 7:30 at Christianson Gym. NIC’s women (1-2, 10-2) and Dixie (1-2, 6-5), a 83-59 loser to Ricks, collide at 5:30.

At a glance: The Rebels apparently won’t have 6-foot-11 center Keon Clark, who recently became eligible. Coach Dave Rose has elected to have Clark, who was bound for UNLV had he passed a required number of credits, begin anew after the holidays, according to Dixie’s athletic director. NIC certainly isn’t complaining. But Dixie presents problems with quick guards and a premier player in 6-5 Providence-bound forward Kevin Simpson. NIC counters with depth, a zone trap and a balanced inside-outside attack. , DataTimes
