Usc’s Walters Reinstated

Southern Cal running back Shawn Walters, suspended for alleged contact with a sports agent, will have his eligibility restored after three games next year.

Walters, a junior, was stripped of his college eligibility in November by the NCAA. An association committee reduced that sanction to a one-season suspension, based on an appeal by USC.

An arrest warrant was issued for former Phoenix Cardinals lineman Luis Sharpe, 35, after he failed to appear to be arraigned on drug charges.
