A pair of 7-1 teams stood even in the second half Tuesday when one made an important change.
Sandpoint, which switched from a man-to-man defense to a zone, toppled Post Falls 63-53 in an Inland Empire League game at Post Falls. Sandpoint held the Trojans to seven fourth-quarter points.
Alli Nieman did the big damage for the Bulldogs (1-0, 8-1), scoring 29 points. Heidi Umthun of Post Falls (1-2, 7-2) scored 23.
