Cheney Tips Post Falls In Overtime

Post Falls’ dramatic comeback went for naught on Wednesday.
Rich DeMulling scored four points in overtime as visiting Cheney escaped with a 72-68 non-league victory in a game the Blackhawks (2-3) led by as many 14.
Post Falls’ Brett Hollenbeck, who scored 23, made a free throw with 1 second left in regulation to force overtime.
The Trojans (3-3) had switched to a half-court zone defense in the second half to begin their rally.
Cheney made 12 of 12 free throws in the first half and shot better than 50 percent from the floor.

Anna Getz had 10 assists for Cheney, and Lisa Anderson had seven of the Blackhawks’ 18 steals.
