Windstorm Creates Havoc For West Teams

All athletic games were postponed because schools were released early in anticipation of the storm, which had wind gusts of up to 105 mph and left thousands without power.
Some makeup games have been pushed back as far as Jan. 8. One league has designated a makeup date of Feb. 10 if the schools cannot agree to get together earlier.
Snohomish senior Milena Flores, considered one of the best point guards in the state with Mead’s Stacy Clinesmith, signed and early letter of intent to attend Stanford.
The 5-foot-7 Flores became known to area basketball fans when she helped push the Falcons in the State AAA title game against Central Valley as a freshman.
Garfield, one of the magical names in Washington boys basketball history, was expected to have its troubles this season.
The Bulldogs returned to Class AAA this year, a season after graduating four starters and having two potential starters move.
Despite that, Garfield is off to a 2-1 start after a 101-50 win against Cleveland heading to the the 54-team Holiday Prep Classic in Las Vegas.
