Air Quality

A total of 13 air quality complaints were reported to the Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority between Dec. 18 and Dec. 22.

The most common complaint, odor or smoke from a solid-fuel burning device, such as a wood stove of fireplace, was reported four times.

Dec. 18

Dust from sandblasting was reported at 3703 E. Princeton at 11:20 a.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid-fuel burning device, was reported at 6807 E. 11th at 11:57 a.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid-fuel burning device was reported at 6810 E. 11th at 11:57 a.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid-fuel burning device was reported at 6815 E. 11th at 11:57 a.m.

Dec. 19

Visible emissions were reported at 410 N. Eastern at 11:49 a.m.

Smoke from a solid-fuel burning device was reported at 5309 S. Pittsburg at 8:50 a.m.

Smoke and odor from a solid-fuel burning device was reported at Roi’s Refinishing, 1611 N. Monroe, at 8:30 a.m.

Dec. 20

Open fire was reported at 11001 N. Newport Highway at 11:50 a.m.

Open fire was reported at 1300 S. Ballou at 11:20 a.m.

Smoke from a solid-fuel burning device was reported at 3718 E. Decatur at 11:15 a.m.

Dec. 21

Dust from tracking was reported at Palouse Highway and north of Willow Springs at 11:46 a.m.

Dust from construction was reported at Ruby and North Foothills Drive at 8:30 a.m.

Dec. 22

Smoke from a solid-fuel burning device was reported at 4237 E. 28th at 4:18 p.m.
