Local Students Named To Wwu’s Fall Honor Roll

Western Washington University in Bellingham recently named the following Inland Northwest students to the honor roll for the fall quarter:

East Wenatchee: Christopher Johnson.

Kennewick: Rigoberto Rangel and Allison Schmidtke.

Pullman: Elizabeth Williams and Halle Luong.

Richland: Diana Dauble, Wesley Gano and Patti Lynn Yanochko.

Spokane: William Dirks, Megan McChesney, Amy Pomada, Matthew Bell, Dana Brannan, Julianne Connell, Adrianna Finer and Rachel Watters.

Tekoa: Cheri Moy

Tonasket: Mathew Pile.

Veradale: Christopher Wolf.

Wenatchee: Kristjana Reese.

The following Western Washington University Inland Northwest students earned their master’s degrees and were awarded diplomas at the conclusion of the fall quarter:

IDAHO

Lewiston: Kathleen Pearson, master of education.

WASHINGTON

Colbert: Robyn Leishman, master of arts.

College Place: Lisa Lennox, master of arts.

Omak: Gordon Kent, master of education.

Spokane: Roben Ertter, master of education, and Tonya Lockman, master of science.

Danielle Tutt, a senior at Ferris High School, has accepted an early appointment to the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. She is a member of Ferris’ varsity basketball and track teams and the National Honor Society and is vice president of the French Club.

Tutt won the local Xerox Award for Humanities and Social Sciences and last summer was chosen to attend the Air Force Academy Science Seminar. She is the daughter of retired Maj. Daniel and and Diane Tutt, Spokane.

Mamdouh El-Aarag, a civil engineer with EMCON Inc., a professional services consulting firm in Spokane, has passed the professional engineer examination. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University.

Richard Millard, a senior at Mead High School, has received nominations from ex-Speaker Tom Foley to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., and the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. He has already received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy and recently an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is the son of Rich and Cindy Millard, Mead.
