Rockies Tickets Sell

Compiled From Wire Services

Nearly all of the Colorado Rockies’ season-ticket holders have renewed for the 1995 season, giving the club one of the better financial situations in strike-bound major league baseball.

Rockies officials say Coors Field is the main reason nobody wants to give up tickets to see baseball, even if replacement players are used.

The Rockies will move to the new stadium after spending their first two seasons at Mile High Stadium.

Sue Ann McClaren, Rockies assistant vice president of ticket operations and sales, said the team has a 98-percent renewal rate on season tickets.
