Raiders Hire Peters

Floyd Peters, with 21 years as an NFL coach after a 12-year playing career, has been appointed defensive line coach of the Los Angeles Raiders.
Peters, 58, was defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the last four years after spending the previous five seasons in that capacity with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Philadelphia Eagles hired longtime Washington Redskins defensive backs coach Emmitt Thomas as their defensive coordinator, cutting one of the last ties to Washington’s Super Bowl past.
