Governor:
Announced his plan to negotiate a compact under which the Puyallup Tribe would share cigarette tax revenues with the state. Senate:
Confirmed Don Brazier as a member of the Public Disclosure Commission.
House:
The Corrections Committee approved and sent to the full House HB1021, under which juveniles 16 years and older would be tried in adult court if they used, aimed, fired or displayed a gun while committing a violent crime.
The Governmental Relations Committee approved and sent to the full House HB1187, to divide the Department of Social and Health Services into five agencies.
The Trade and Economic Development Committee approved and sent to the Finance Committee HB1252, which would exempt coin-operated laundries from the sales tax.
