Kootenai County Sheriff

Pierce Torok, 2000 block Avon Circle, Hayden Lake, reported Saturday that someone poisoned and killed her 10-year-old Golden Retriever.

Charlotte Burton, 31000 block of Priest River Drive, reported Monday $283 theft by fraud Someone cashed a check written for $66.50 for $350.

Kristi Taylor reported Monday the $1,975 theft of jewelry from her home in the 2900 block of Rice Road, Rathdrum.
