O’Billovich Dies

Jack “Mad Dog” O’Billovich, an allAmerican linebacker who played in Oregon State’s last Rose Bowl team, died of heart disease at the age of 54.

O’Billovich played for the Beavers in 1963 through 1965. He was part of coach Tommy Prothro’s 1964 team that compiled an 8-3 record and lost to Michigan 34-7 in the 1965 Rose Bowl.

He was born in Butte, Mont. and was drafted by the Detroit Lions of the NFL.
