Islamic Militants Threaten Plo Forces

Compiled From Wire Services

The Islamic militant group Hamas threatened Friday to attack Palestinian security forces if more supporters are arrested in a crackdown ordered by PLO chief Yasser Arafat.

The Hamas group singled out the head of military intelligence, Brig. Gen. Moussa Arafat, who is not related to the PLO leader.

“You (Moussa) will pay very dearly for any barbaric arrests of our holy fighters,” said a leaflet distributed by the Hamas military wing, Izzedine al-Qassam.
